Our Story
Our journey began in 2003 when we purchased our first fixer-upper. What started as a do-it-yourself home remodel quickly became something more. From floor-to-ceiling renovations to makeshift kitchens along the way—including a few memorable “creative” meals when the kitchen was torn apart—we learned firsthand what it takes to transform a house into a home.
As our family grew, we continued taking on new projects—moving from one home to the next, improving properties and neighborhoods while growing closer as a family. Those early experiences shaped the way we approach every project today: with care, patience, and a focus on long-term quality.
Experience You Can Trust
Clifford has been in the construction industry since his teenage years, starting in masonry and advancing into a foreman role overseeing custom home builds. His background includes hands-on construction, project supervision, OSHA safety training, and experience with energy-efficient building practices.
Sarah has worked in digital builds and project organization since 2010, bringing structure, communication, and attention to detail to every project. Her ability to keep projects organized and on track plays a key role in delivering a smooth experience for homeowners.
Together, we completed our own “forever home” in 2017. After that project, it felt natural to combine our skills and officially start First Avenue Homes.
